NFL Vintage Teams
Overview
NFL Team Sets have part numbers that assist the collector and enthusiast in finding a special set that might complete a conference or bring back a treasured childhood memory. Part numbers on our site are called "SKUs" or Stock Keeping Units. SKUs are located beneath the description on every product's main page.
Decoding the "SKU" is important to understanding the heritage of NFL Team Sets. In every case, the Team Sets on our site are brand new or New Old Stock (NOS) production items. This means they are sealed in poly-bags, never opened, and in factory new condition. There may be some signs of aging, like a patina or slight discoloration from years of storage. You can tell many things by our SKUs. We break that down in some examples below.
Team SKUs are made up of three and sometime four parts, separated by hyphens. These parts uniquely identify an 11 player Team Set. The first part of a SKU is the Figure Type. The Figure Type has information related to how the Team was manufactured. The second part of the SKU is the Team code. This Code is an internal numerical listing of all NFL teams from 1 to 33. There are 33 teams because our list includes the Houston Oilers.
Part three of the SKU indicates whether the Set is a home (dark) uniform or an Away (white) uniform. It can also denote a special attribute. For example, a white jersey/white pants team might have a "WW" to differentiate it from another production run where a team was created with white jersey and dark pants.
For most of our SKUs, these three parts are all that's needed to identify the Team Set. Some Teams have an "HK" which indicates they were made in Hong Kong. These are our oldest figures. Using the three examples below, you can see how the SKU breaks down into its component parts.

Examples
In this example, the Team Set's SKU is 5-23-W. This translates into: Standard Figures with stamped logos, Rams team, in Away uniform. You can also tell by the title that this set was produced when the Rams played in St. Louis.
This Hand Painted vintage set is the Cardinals. They were produced prior to 1987 when the Cardinals moved from St. Louis to Arizona. The "HK" designation at the end shows these were made in Hong Kong.
These are new production figures, as indicated by the "9" prefix. Because there are existing "9-" Rams in stock, we created a new designation to assist in identifying the new, yet classic, uniforms of the LA Rams.
